Help with exhaust drone

I Have flow master outlaws for my 2013 GT and there is a lot of drone at cruising speeds. Is it just my flow masters? Or can I change something to stop it because I really do not like the drone in the cabin if my car. I've looked up lots of exhaust's but there are mixed reviews. And is borla exhuast the best? Also does anyone have this exhaust (picture) ( I'm Talking about axel back NOT catback

What is your cruising speed? My buddy has them and says they are not bad but he might only be hitting 60 on his way to work, stock gears with an MT82.

I see. I think we hit around 70 mph at 2K in our GT's. That would get annoying on the interstate. They sound sweet though when you want to make some noise!

I just removed the Roush exhaust that you pictured. While it is great sounding and doesn't really have any drone, it was a little louder than I wanted. Initially it was great but after a long day at work, they would wear on me. They are also very loud on a cold start. I switched to the GT500 AB and like it so far. I would like it a little louder but I'm good for now.

I have the Roush and love them. No drone. Had them for four months and been on a couple of long road trips and never get tired of the sound.

Maybe swapping out your midpipe would help

I hate to say it but the drone is a characteristic of the Flowmaster Outlaws. I have them as well and am one of the few that actually like the drone; but every review I have read warns or informs about their 2k-3k rpm resonance.

I wanted the car loud though, and personally love them. I would have to replace with something similar if it comes down to it, Borla S-Type or ATAK would probably be my choice. You might try the GT500 AB with the resonators removed.

Good luck with your search, but ultimately IMHO if you want to get rid of the drone the Outlaws will probably have to be changed for another exhaust.
