dumb question probably

Do they make a curved exhaust tip? I am trying to avoid having the little amount of the bumper cut so one will fit on

Exhaust tips have hangars and are adjusted in the cutout of the bumper accordingly.. There's no curved exhaust tips. everything is fitted at the pipes before you even get to them.

If you mean to say that you don't have cut outs for the tips to exit your rear bumper, then you can bend the pipes down a bit using the hangars. However, They will still be straight. (Just pushed down at an angle)

It looks better with a bumper with exhaust cutouts though.

I have a v6, non dual exhaust, so no cutouts. Thanks for the help!

Go side exhaust. Looks best if you're not going to get a GT bumper. Or check eBay/mpsautosalvage.com for a takeoff GT bumper. There's hundreds of thousands of 99-04 SN95s out there - I'm sure you can find a decent bumper already painted your color, for cheap.

If you don't want side exhaust you can get what are called turn down tips. That's what you mean when you say curved tips I believe.

An exhaust shop can do any curved tips you want. It won't cost you much.

The turn down tips are not very pretty.

You can do all kinds of things. You don't have to use cutouts. I've seen sixers run straight tips with no cutouts.

The turndowns will prevent you from making cutouts yes. And it doesn't matter if they're ugly because nobody will see them if they're behind the bumper haha.

I have heard that they increase interior drone though because the sound is bouncing against the ground and back up into the car rather than exiting out the back.

I would like to hear it more inside, cause its barely audible from inside, and it sounds pretty good outside

Well they're super cheap on eBay, or any local muffler shop can put them on for not much more. Might as well do it and see what you think.

I ran turndowns on my V6 for a long time, until I got a GT bumper for free. I liked it. Made the exhaust deeper and I had then tucked up into the bumper like the Fox GT cars. Just looked like the exhaust was dumped. I had a custom set up made by a shop. Btw, for the best sound on these cars, don't do an H or X-pipe. Leave the two pipes separated, so each pipe starts from the cat back and goes all the way back. No crossover pipe. It sounds the deepest, and for smog, it will pretty much make your car pass with flying colors because the sniffer is only reading 3 cylinders
