hey guys im about to drive from california to iowa and i was wondering what maintence issues i should handle for my trip. also, the car has been sitting for a few months at home while ive been off to college. so thanks.

 

Change the oil.
Fill the gas.
Fill the washer fluid.
Go.

 

Check tire pressure

 

remove any rodents that may have moved in as they may not know how to return. chech all state laws as I'm sure just like here in CanaDA every province you drive though have differnt rules ie radar detector ok here not there type of thing, So Cruise control is a must ! don't be in a hurry enjoy the ride/view

 

Most suggestions have already been given. I'll just add to get a drink and to make sure you load the radio with some good CD's.

 

Try to check all the road and weather conditions. If you're not in a hurry, avoid snowy/slushy mountain passes, and any weather fronts. I swear those *#@* semi trucks just love throwing that sloppy crap all over a nice car! Enjoy the trip in your stang! Good driving, Carl

 

Maybe some astronaut diapers so you don't have to stop as often ?

 

One more thing.....be sure and stop in Arizona and play some golf!

 

And one more thing...try to see some of old Route 66! (An old guy speaks )

Come to think of it, there's a part of it not too far from your house!

 

Cover the whole car in Blue painters tape to make it rock chip proof! and have a cool blue car for a while!
