Hey all, I'm definitely a little nervous about a big dump and I live on a pretty aggressive hill. Driving in snow is tough sometimes. Might be calling my buddy with AWD to pick me up for work sometimes.

As a kid, I learned to drive in sports cars in the winter; had some Camaros, a Vette, and a 300ZX, all in winter. That said though, my 2012 won't see salt/snow. It'll be tucked away in the garage while I drive my Grand Cherokee. I'm dreading winter this year; I literally can't get enough of driving my Mustang as it is; winter is going to seem so lonnnnnnngg..

Cars are made to be driven. I live in Pennsylvania and the winters are pretty bad here, and i do have a garage but i will put snow tires on it and enjoy driving it year round..

It's the winter season that I'm glad to be in Florida. In the summer, not so much.

Like i said in my last post, I plan on driving mine (2011 GT 400A) and I already have an extra set of stock 18x8 rims and I will just add snow tires and some weight in the back and it will be fine. I grew up with rear wheel drive vehicles.. it's just the ice that sometimes presents a problem.. I had a garage vehicle that i restored and I just got to the point where it sat most of the time and it became more of an issue with not driving it.

I worry most about some idiot who thinks 4WD also means 4WSTOP sliding into me. Weather gets below 40 degrees and the only cars leaving my garage are my Jeep Wrangler and the 4WD pick-up. Everything else gets a car cover and a trickle charger.

Mustang / Edge
Seriously? You have a Mustang and an Edge? So do I. My Mustang is an '08 GT/CS and the Edge is a 2010.
I drove mine the last two winters in some light snow. Traction was very good, even with the factory tires. But when we had 3' of snow on the ground last winter, it stayed in the garage for a couple of weeks. We drove the wife's Edge if we had to go out.
Re: the salt, just wash it ASAP in a car wash with an undercarriage sprayer and it should be fine. Be sure to get the wheel wells really good too.

Dealer said it was garage kept in winter. I was inclined to agree with him due to the imaculate condiditon of the paint and body when I bought it(In Indiana). Do its apparently never seen salt and never will down here
