I hope that if they do a remake, they do not and I repeat do not use any CG, for the car chase scenes. What is wrong with using skilled pro driver stuntmen and letting them haul butt on real cars. I can just imagine, Dark Highland Green GT lowered on 18s with no spoiler.

I agree. If they do re-make it, I hope they don't use CG, but you know good and well they will.

You know what struck me in the movie was the airport scene. Half the people were walking around the airport smoking a cigarette.

You just don't see that these days. lol

Overall, apart from the bits of the film with the car in, it stinked!
Bullitt set the whole theme for every action film afterwards.... the cut scenes, the language (watch another movie from that era, ya won't hear half those words[and first use of BS in a movie ) and the realistic representation of police and medical procedures ( I can't believe hospitals were that primitive  )

It won the emmy for editing, if I remember correctly...but I will agree it can be a snoozer at times

Plus, about the shifts...remember upshifting and downshifting...he's not going in a straight line

Using the new Mustang is the easy part. Highland Green, Torque Thrusts, spoiler delete. The hard question is, what to replace the Charger with.

I think the best choice would be a black 300C SRT-8

An exploding black GTO would be nice. 0:-)

lol Be nice, those poor GM guys have to have something besides the Vette, don't they?

Actually, the new GTO in black with the hoodscoops would fit the bill nicely.

I saw the film when it first came out and have seen it dozens of times since then, although not recently. I remember being puzzled by the suitcases. Still am.
