I was cruising down the highway and a guy in a fox vert did a RFB. A quick downshift was all it took for me to instantly catch up to him. By coincidence, we both got off at the same exit. At the stoplight, he pulled up next to me, rolled down his passenger window and yelled across to me "stop it; you're making me want to go to Ford and put $40K down on a new Shelby!"

And then there was the guy in the 1st gen Viper coupe who raced through traffic to catch up to me to give me the "thumbs up."

But I think the biggest compliment of all: the Corvette drivers who race to pull alongside me and then back off.

 

You earn my approval and respect!

 

One guy said my car was a beautiful car and one of yhe best he has seen and also reminded him of his mustang when he was twenty.

 

I went to McDonalds one day and from the time I got to the drive through to the time I drove out of the parking lot I had sic people yell sweet car, nice car stuff like that and countless other things

 

Sic people are awesome.

I was in a left turn lane and a lovely woman pulled up in the go straight lane and she said - I should be driving that car. I said you want a ride? She accepted and what a ride!

 

The first week I had my race red 13 stang I was at work on a smoke break an this guy with a race red 12 parked next to my car. He was looking at it and walking around so I went over to him and he asked me if he could take a pic of the two together. Here is a pic I took that day lol

 

My buddy who is a dyed in the wool Chevy and Corvette guy says my '06 GT Vert is the best looking Mustang in the Cincinnati area. He isn't even a fan of convertibles either.

 

I have the Roush exhaust too, and I get a lot of compliments on the sound. Maybe they're lying?

 

People always ask me what "Whipple Charged" means. Just yesterday, I was at the gas station and a guy in an older Taurus asked me that question. I told him it was the type of supercharger I had. He asked if he could see it and I was only happy to oblige.

I opened the hood, he took a look and proceeded to clutch his chest and do his best "Elizabeth, I'm coming to see you, honey" impression complete with the words. I laughed and we talked for a few more minutes and went out separate ways. I'll never forget that.

Sometimes, it's almost to the point I hate going to the car wash because I always get hassled by the high school kids in their rice burners asking me all kinds of questions and stuff. Just leave me alone. I want to wash my car and go about my merry way. I don't give 2 rat's hind quarters about your "so low the tires are at a 45 degree angle" piece of crap.

 

One of my now friends when we first met "**** that car is sexy!" - She's stayed around!

I get a ton of compliments on the Sonic Blue paint too.

I get alternating hate and love, lol. The haters are mostly dudes trying to prove their Civics and Altimas are race cars. I usually just point and laugh at their antics. Waitress at Applebees last night told me that my car is a huge hit with all the guys in back so I smoked my way out of the lot.

most of the time it's "OMG I love that color" is it yellow or orange? why did you paint a new car.... Its a 07 and thats factory Grabber Orange. they get that confused look , Priceless!

I always have people walk up and ask "what kind of mustang is that? There is something different about it." It's a GT/CS, baby!

 

I thought '08 was the only year Grabber Orange was available. Got a friend with an '08 GT/CS that's Grabber Orange and we researched it. We could be wrong, I guess.
