As the title states, dont know how but after not driving my car for a few weeks my battery jumped ship and is now at 5 volts. Can I save it somehow? I have a digital charger used for all types of batts (including lead acid) and I can set amps and volts. Thanks for any info.

 

charge is up and see if it will charge to 13.5 volts.

 

That's the only way to find out if it's salvageable. And next time you store your car for a long time remove the - cable.

 

put it on a trickle charger and see if it takes it for several hours...

Optima Batteries are gel as far as I know...
