Got a 2004 V6 40th Anniversay 'Stang. A local gas station sells 100 octance racing gas. Can I use this in the V6? Will it improve performance?? Can it damage my fuel system or engine????

I don't want to try it till I hear from you guys.....

Regards,
Rob C

It will do nothing for you... stick with 87 oct.

You'd have to bump the timing a ton to actually be able to use the effects of 100.

My engine (a V6) does run more smoothly on Premium. The heating values of regular, premium, or super-premium should all be the same. The difference is the suppression of the onset of the second speed of combustion. The first speed (non-knocking) is about 500 Ft/sec, and the second speed (knocking) is about 2,000 Ft/sec.
