Congrats on getting to drive,Arin! Wish my first car had been a Mustang-any kind or year of Stang! I had my Mom's hand me down AMC Concord DL.My sister had it before me. It was a junker! Got me to and from the beach though.

77 Ford Granada-Dad bought it from a co-worker,she took great care of it. I was embarassed of it until I discovered that if the passenger seat was all the way back and laying down some,my G&S TriFin Shredder surfboard would fit inside! I could take it to school and not worry about it being stolen. We'd skip afternoon classes and hit the beach! It was great!
83 Olds Cutlass Ciera-bought in 88 when I worked at dealership,elderly couple traded her in. I had access to all service records and needed a Maw Maw car for son's carseat! She had a diesel engine. She was nice and ran well. We drove her for 5 years and sold her for $1500 less than we paid for her. She was still going strong.
92 Ranger-my first NEW vehicle! Cayman green with grey int. ,4.0 6 cyl., manual tranny and cassett! Learned how to hook up boat myself and friends and I would go water ski while kids were in school and hubbies were at work!Loved her!
97 F150-kid grew to be 12 feet tall! Needed something bigger-and hubby had wrecked the Ranger a year earlier.$7,252 in damage. Everyone said to sell her right away,but I just couldn't do that to someone. I drove her one full year after the accident before trading her in. As far as I know,all was well, no problems from wreck.
65 Mustang is my son's-wink wink!

Hubby has owned many junkers,he won't drive anything nice into the plant.(he's driving the F150 now-8 months and she's covered in overspray!)

Every kid outta get a POS for their first car.Makes them appreciate it more when they get their first one they worked for.
Brians was a Volare. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rofl2.gif[/img] he said he wouldn't have dated me because I was high maintenance and into hair metal, I wouldn't have dated him because he had a volare. My how times change- we began dating in the sunbird.

Hubby drove an older Nova in high school. It was gold w/black interior. Can't believe I dated a guy w/a Chevy! Well, he dated a girl with a Granada!

 

I went to school in Alabama.
He is from Long Island.
We didn't meet till my 19th bday. In Chicago to boot.

I have been with him almost half my life.

 

Met him in H.S.,dated on and off for 4 years then got married. I've known him 26 years! Man-he's old!

and about kids driving POS as their first car.... i dont care what someone drives as long as they paid for it :-p my parents offered to buy me a 99+ mustang or somesuch, but i wanted to own the car, not be given it. ill settle for only paying half my insurance bill and non of my gas as a gift [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen.gif[/img]

and so... the wait begins.. driving test tomorrow at nine am... get to skip morning class... mis part of english too

Yeah, I paid for every single one myself. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif[/img]

Parents paid insurance on the first one for the first year or so. That was back in 88 I think.

I haven't even included my wifes vehicles on the list. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen.gif[/img]

 

I paid for the stupid camaro myself. I paid for the gas and $200 a month back to my Dad for 2 years. They paid insurance on it. That Camaro was a punishment for totaling my Moms Tbird and trying to hide it from her. I was supposed to get my mustang... [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif[/img]

My next mustang will be a 2009.Preferably Orange.
Eleanor is staying here, and will likely go to my daughter if she pays for it.


Oh and I quit smoking again today. Lets see how long this mess lasts.
