Love the blue, and love the new logo. But like others, the white is really overpowering. The other VB sites I visit are using a light shade of gray to make it easier on readers.

Hey Guys, thanks for all the feedback ... both good and bad.

Just so you know we made the decision to go with a white background as the default because that's what most large media sites do. For example, CNN.com or any other major site usually has black text on a white background. The reason they do this is it provides a better UX (User Experience) for visitors because it's a high contrast site. I can understand that might make for a bright screen but I guess I have my brightness turned down a bit.

Either way, these are very valid concerns so I made a new style choice below called The Mustang Source - Grey. This is the new skin but using the same background colors that the old skin used.

Let me know if you have any more feedback. Thanks!

OK, based on everyone's feedback we decided to change the background colors to match the old skin. Hopefully this fixes the bright screen issue everyone was dealing with.

Look Good?

I like the shading - though you could try shades of blue instead of gray to go stay within the palette, if you wish.

Yup, I plan to tonight> Just got them changed over for the white skin so now have to undo everything .

Glad people are liking the new skin for the most part.

Since your taking requests how about restricting the number of lines in the signature to 4,
any more than that just clutters up a thread/website.

I think the limitations are just fine. People have just enough room for what they want in their sig. And please no pics. It just makes a mess. We are supposed to be exchanging information here, not wallpapering our posts with cars we may or may not own.

At least the sig helps identify your car and mods to others that might ask for your help and know you are someone with at least the same car as they are asking about.

There's no reason a tasteful 200px high image of your car isn't worth while. Just make the standard something that if you have the image, you can't go over 200px in total sig height. If you don't like it, turn them off.

Isn't that what avatars are for? And the garage? And the gallery?
