Folks, I'm going to say these two words:
Benevolent. Dictatorship.
And you can guess which side I'm on. I like the overall makeup of this place, I play by the rules (except maybe in the Politics and Religion area, which I probably should avoid anyway...) and I like the fact that the noisy, bad mannered, ill tempered, and crap posts are dealt with, and that rather quickly.
The filter... meh, not so much, but I don't really care either. I find it amusing what it will and won't let through, and totally abhorrent that some words can't be used. Such as might be found in these sentences:
That tricky **** Nixon was somethin', wasn't he?
Boy, that **** Trickle sure was somethin', wasn't he?
I really liked that watch that **** Tracy had... that was really telling the future, wasn't it?
And like that.
BUT... you are here at the behest of the owners/mods, the 'dictators' who are, by and large most benevolent... as seen by this very thread NOT being axed. And it would behoove you all to remember that, ones who are butthurt, because it's this... or you are in fact welcome to find an unruly place, like Fark and it's comment threads, or maybe even 4chan, to go to. You better have asbestos underwear in those places.
Lighten up. Enjoy your time here... I do. It's a friendly place, and that, above all else, is why I don't even bother with the other Mustang sites.
