Why do I get this response when posting a pic
Since we are limited on how many pictures we can attached, I learned the trick of going to the properties of the picture and copying the address of the picture, then instead of attaching the picture in a thread again, you can simpily click on the "IMG" link and host the picture like that.
However, when I did this for a picture that I already have in another thread, I get this repsonse.
Can we not do this for a picture we already have uploaded, or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed
Thats exactly it. If the link doesnt have a valid extension on it (.jpg, .gif, .bmp etc..) it wont allow it.
It is a picture I took. I posted it in a thread as an attachment. So I know it is the right size. What I am trying to do is take that picture I already posted in this forum, and post it in another thread.
When I click on the properties to get the address and use that address in the "IMG" link, I get the message above.
So I know it is ok to post that particular picture, I just don't want to have to add it to my attahments if i want to re-post it.

copy the url and paste it here so i can see (without putting the IMG tags around it)
Interesting, I did not notice that at first. I wonder why, since it is a picture? So I guess to solve my problem, if I ever want to post a picture I already posted, I will have to re-attach it.
And..
thanks for the help.

You could register at cardomain.com, it's free. That's what I do to 'host' my pictures. . .example . . (At some point I may just get a website of my own, just for personal use.)
hmm lemme think of a work around for this. This new software changed alot of the ways we do things.
