WAIT 5 SECONDS before new search
live feed is working as you suggest ... however I like the simplicity and display of the "New Posts" better
for me, it is still acting strange -- it seems like the first time I click "New Posts" it thinks I just did a search before that (even if I didn't) and then I need to wait 5 seconds (same as I described earlier) and then it works
and now I got another strange thing .... I got distracted while I was typing this reply, and then when I tried to post, I got a message that my token had expired (or something like that) and I needed to reload the page and re-do the reply (which was easy because I copy/pasted)

No change here. I also notice the 'like' button not working for me. It doesn't show up like it did before. I just 'liked' Bert above and nothing is showing.

A lot of the current issues mentioned in this thread seem to be somewhat dependent on browser, although we're still working to determine the specifics of the cause. So I'm glad to hear at least when visiting in Firefox, TMS is behaving as expected!

Thanks for working on this but it is unique to this site as I belong to a Challenger and Firebird site as well and they are 'normal'. I do see the 'like' hits I leave when I return to the same page later. That's good. Also, I do NOT have to WAIT 5 seconds when that message appears. If I hit 'new posts' within even one second, it loads just fine. We are now talking extremely minor issues and no worries on this end.
I just wanted to add that our service in rural western NC is old fashioned telephone lines, not fiber optic like most of the country. I can't even load threads with lots of photos that are not cut down to size. I can't even post them if not cut down, so please realize I speak for no one else.
Starlink is our only option other than our dreadful Frontier. I'm thinking about it but it's pricey and you have to lay out for the equipment.

something just changed, within the past hour or less -- earlier this morning it was acting up; just now it seems to be back to normal
I come in to the site, click on New Posts, and it works; same as it was before this issue started
EDIT/UPDATE: nope, sorry, cancel that. it is acting up again now.
It seems like the first time you click "New Posts" it always gives the warning, no matter how long it has been since your prior search. Then that starts some kind of a timer, and if you try again within the time window, it works. But if you wait too long it starts over gives the error message as if you had just searched within 5 seconds before that, even if you didn't.
