For the past week I have been having problems getting the site to load up.
Says page not found. Sometimes I can get the main page to load, but then I cannot get the forums to come up. Sometimes this has been all day. Other times I can be in the site leave it and then not be able to get back in.
Did not know if it was my computer or if others are having the same problem.
I go through withdrawls and have been told by others in my household that I am not someone to be around if I cannot get into this site
I have to wait until 2006 to get my baby, so this site keeps me going until then

Road Runner.
Sorry for posting in the general chat, I did not know where else to place it.
I now see that there was already a thread started on this back in October.
I am fairly new to this site and had not experienced any trouble until last week.
I can understand that that server is being overloaded with so many visitors.
That is because this is the number one site to go to for Mustangs IMO.
I will just learn the clicky game to get in when needed

Hmmm, interesting...I haven't had any problems lately, but I did in the past, have one or two occasions where the forums didn't load. Sendero, any ideas?

At first I thought it was my computer, but after deleting all temp files and cookies, defraging it still did not help.
I have had the simular issues with other sites that I visit.
I guess it is either the volume of people on the site or at times it has been server issues the site was having.

When you receive the error. Try doing this: (this is based on a windows XP machine, please tell me if you are running anything other than XP)
Click on Start > Run > Type in cmd > Hit Enter > Type in "ipconfig /flushdns" when at the command prompt line (flashing cursor, also remove the " " ) > Hit Enter > close the command prompt and try reloading the board again.

Yes I do have Windows XP
I was able to get to the main page the first time, but was not able to get in the forums.
I did what you said and I got this message:
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cashe
I still was not able to get into the message forum. Took about half an hour and just got in.
Only thing I can come up with is that this site is just to dang popular

Scott, remember that problem we had with B'ham not being able to access any of our forums? That is the same problem here.
Road-Runner, Charter, Adelphia, and Big Pool cable systems use the same bandwidth provider. For some reason they have a routing issue to Level3 networks (which is our primary network). They call it "internet weather" because sometimes you can get to it, sometimes you can't.
My hands are pretty much tied as I have sent numerous complaints into their Routing Group. I will keep trying though.
