Glock! I always figured you for more of a 1911 man. I sense a disturbance in the force. Fear not, there is still time. You can change your ways and come back from the dark side.

Yes. I was in the back yard and saw a 4' rat snack I had let get away the week before. So not wanting to let him get away as he tried to slither off I picked it up by the tail, with my hands. Rat snakes aren't venomous but a 4 footer could give you a nasty soon to be infected bite. But I did not consider this as I went all Steve Irwin on it and carried it about 120' as it tried to turn on me and bite me. I then dropped it to the ground and proceeded to hoe it to death. Then I took the severed body and showed the kids. **** those things stink. When it was all said and done I thought to myself, "Why the hell did I pick up that snake?" Too much TV I guess.

Actually I have 2 1911's....a Century Arms and the latest Taurus Tactical 1911 which I LOVE! But it's not my carry pistol(right now anyway)....that is the Glock 19 for the time being because I wanted something a little smaller and easier to conceal. I want the Judge Ultralight for a snake gun but they are tough to get right now because they are so popular so I am waiting for one to come in.

I don't care if they are poisonous or not....or even have fangs....around me a snake becomes a statistic!

Not long ago we cut one into 7 pieces when we cut apart a catalytic converter pipe....the snake had made itself comfy in the pipe and when the chop saw cut through it we saw blood and had to check our fingers before we figured out there was a snake inside the pipe...LOL.

I've owned several Taurus models over the years and have always been impressed, so I am glad to hear that the 1911's they intro'd a few years back make the grade as well (I've heard other folks brag on them too) At the moment I'm planning on moving up to a Les Bear Monolith, but that will have to wait until after my fiance and I tie the knot in October. The Judge should make for a very nice little 'snake charmer' with five rounds of .410 in the cylinder.

LOL, agreed. I lived in the Tampa Bay area for a while and discovered first hand that snakes can be sneaky little ******** when they want to be.

All I can think of is what that must have smelled like. Whatever you needed that pipe for I would have probably given up after cut two.

Nothing wrong with a rat snake (snack? ). we get calls all the time about GIANT snakes only to get there and it's a 3ft rat snake.
