I don't really have a problem with the banner ads at the top and bottom. It will be nice to have the vendors back in the ad rotation too. They help us and we help them.

Now, ads up and down the sides or buried in the text of threads are annoying and I hate when I have to dodge certain words with my cursor to keep an ad from popping up.

I love TMS and like everyone else has stated, I consider the members here part of my extended family. I'm a paid member here because of it and I felt compelled to help Brad keep it running. Hopefully everything will get sorted out and everyone will be happy.

We are working on getting Vendors back in the mix. We know they help out the site and everyone can benefit.

IMHO: Iv'e been a faithful member and contributor here for years. And also had read at this site for years before joining the family. Brad and his wonderful staff had created what I believe to be the perfect web site for the Mustang World and everyone out there that belongs will most likely back up what I'm saying on that one!

I've surfed the web everywhere for what seems like forever. And this I believe has become one of the very best written, best managed and best maintained Mustang site in the world!! Are we hopefully going to stay that way? All those very great Mustang venders that were on here were also a very big part of this family! They fed us and we them. A great win! win! in today's business world. That was exactly why a lot of our folks here now have joined TMS! This to have that kind of instant vendor access and for the continued product line feed backs!

You fine gents have now taken over something that was pretty much as close to perfect as it can be for our TMS membership. Please don't try to screw that up by improving it just because you can. Or even try to give folks new things that they really don't want. If you choose to do so, it shall only be the possible slow death of TMS Golden Goose here. Please choose very wisely my friends. And wishing you good Luck and also for some great success here!! On behalf of all our members... CalStang

I think giving the owners some time to move and reorganize is well within reason.

Trust me, even with the new ads, this place is much cleaner than the site I frequent most and help moderate (Mazdas247.com). You wanna talk about problems, go look there (and I've got 13,000+ posts over there)

- server located in Canada
- owner located in Japan
- so many vendors/ads that it slows the forum down considerably
- strict rules regarding which vendors can be talked about (some for personal reasons from the owner are banned)
- horrible communication from top down

there are more, but that's the worst of it.

I've been visiting this site since late 2004, but recently signed up when I got more serious about getting into a Mustang, and I like the way it's laid out and ran around here. Brad did a great job setting this place up and getting it moving in the right direction, and I hope it continues. There are plenty of things that IMO need tweaking/improvement, but I'll save that for another post.

If you are ever looking for help with moderation, let me know. I've got plenty of experience in that area.

y ai love how fast this site is compared to other forums and how simple the layout is to learn. it has so much more knowledge here than most other sites, I have not even noticed an OT for when im bored. there might be one but honestly i havent seen because theres so much great info to read here. the 2011 5.0 section is huge compared to mustangforums.com where theres like 2 new threads a week.

hopefully theres no ''thanks" or whatever lol

And so the side-of-the-page ads begin...I can't wait to have to start dodging words that pop-up too...

Hey new guys - apparently you don't give a crap about the site loading slower all the time - and now I just had to hit refresh 4 times so this new format would load.
Keep pushin it guys... and these eyeballs will never buy anything from your advertisers!

We did discuss the sidebar ads here and didn't hear to many people complain: https://themustangsource.com/f667/tm...de-bar-485244/

Also, the site loads fast for me. I mean REALLY fast. Not sure what the issue is there?

LOL

cdynaco, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Why don't you take a public poll and see how the members feel about our shrinking pages and side bar ads? Its the members that make the community what it is...

Yup, could be the reason why no complaints were heard!

You should be able to access it now.

If there really is a speed problem let's figure it out. But it's really fast for me and some others I've asked so I figured it was your local ISP or the route your local ISP takes to the server which I can't control.

Why not put the supporting vendors back up on top with the full size banner ads instead of the little side bar box ads? This is where they were before. They are the vendors we want to see and more likely to support.

If you look at all the members that did post, they are all "Team Mustang Source" members. It looks like that thread was posted in the paid member section and wasn't available to the general public.

I felt this whole forum got shifted...
Make them fit the forum, not vise versa.

While I appreciate the Ad's and know they're a part of the forum. They can integrate far better.

Good iidea, but it gives management 2 more places to squeeze in even more ads...
