Who says you can't get a 05 GT? Just nailed one.

-Maybe not in the US from what I've been hearing Up in Ontario, Canada I reckon we have about 100 unsold GTs, maybe more.
Long time lurker, first time mustang owner. I just threw down on an 05 GT up in Ottawa Ontario about an hour ago. Whooo! nothing else to do as I'm so excited. They must love me there or something. $2000 off sticker!! I was really afraid of $2000 OVER. Leather, ISAP, the whole 9. Who doesn't love Kanata Ford, huh? Stand up guys, no bs. Etc.
I've been wanting a 300 horse mustang for about 2 years now and my dream came true today.
Sorry if this post is a lame and you heard it before, many many times. I am glad to be part of the community and actaully posting.
Anyone looking for an '02 Elantra GT? Heh.

Yeah, and to top it off my numbers were totally wrong. I assumed I could get a certain number per mo. But this guy quoted me a $10 above the lowball I was preparing (i.e. "that's all i'm paying, and cya if you don't like it")
This whole thing happened because I talked to the Sales Manager (da Boss) when I first arrived 3 weeks ago. I stopped in for a visit on Wednesday, and he dropped $2000 before my butt was in the chair. $35->$33.
He must have been drunk or I am and this is a booze-haze dream. Hahahah. Good guy, really. Today I showed up; no boss but they honoured his discount.
Pick up my baby in 1 month when I transfer my current car.
"Welcome to the Ford Family" they said. Now THAT'S a dealer.
Any of you US guys out there, come up to Canada and take a look see. We got 2005 GTs still!

Actually at the current exchange rates it's around $1650 off - $33K Canadian is approximately $27.5KUSD.

Right you are dude, if I remember correctly, our cars are priced higher. I realize $27K USD is a shanking by your terms. Don't worry. Heh...
Canada: MSRP for a totally base GT is USD $28.3K ($34k CDN)
(ford.ca)
US: the MSRP for a totally base GT is USD $25.8K ($30K CDN)
(ford.com)
Think of it as a 6% discount ($35->33 CDN) to below MSRP for a base GT.
So by our economical standards its $27 USD for a GT coupe with leather and ISAP is not bad. This may have been discussed elsewhere. Try going to England. I bet one would fetch $45k Pounds. Hot item. Not kidding.
Alright, I'm done.
Have a good one,
-Christian

After finding a dealer in NE Ohio who would honor my Ford X-plan, I got exactly what I wanted. An 06 Gt, Tungsten color,5-speed,spoiler delete, int upgrade, and leather. All for $25,685.00. Thank god for the X-plan.
