I think the 2005-2009 Mustangs and the 2010-2015 Mustangs are being ignored. This was a special time for these special cars. I owned many of them.and plan to add some speciail tech on them..
I'll add that this era (2005-2015) will be the collector cars to own in the future and enjoy. Nothing else comes close.

No argument here and I agree about future collector value as long as gas is still available. These model years don't have all the electronics (NAV screens) that will ALL eventually have issues. When I think how basic my old 2007 GT/CS was, plus those classic looks, how can it miss? My '14 is still mostly ***** and buttons too and I'm so happy I found a nice one that will probably be around longer than me. My wife already said this GT is the car she would keep over our other two. She has good taste plus she has been around these Mustangs since 1982 (our first one) and really likes driving them, even the manuals..
Then moving on to the S550...I have driven many and I bought a new Ecoboost for a test mule and to help a friend develop a new turbo. My first impression in 2015 was that I didn't care much for the front end but it grew on me and now between the 5.0 and the Ecoboost I find that while the foot to the floor plant you in the seat 5.0 is fun, the overall driveability and nature of the car...the Ecoboost is a much more enjoyable car to drive...the powerband for general traffic is much better than the V8. Add some upgrades to that and the car is an overall blast...I honestly don't think I'd trade it for a V8 for a car you drive a lot. It's kind of like my foxes between the V8 and the SVO....if I want to go play from a dig or stoplight to stoplight then the LX with the 331 is the go to car...but if I want to spend a day driving back roads and just enjoy the drive then the SVO is the favorite hands down. Same chassis but totally different driving experiences.
I never thought the Fox Mustangs would be so collectible back in the day...otherwise I would have hoarded more...LOL. But it seems every generation offers a different experience...they are all Mustangs but they are also all so vastly different which is why I guess I have so many. I spent some time driving a Laguna Seca Boss and that car was fantastic...but the chassis rigidity has come even further with the S550 platform.
Who knows what will be collectible or not.....just hang on to what you enjoy, that's all that really matters otherwise it becomes a really nice piece of furniture.

^^^ I think I am biased with Mustangs in general. Outside of the mid 70's 4 bangers I really have liked them all. Just one at a time though. Nothing like variety over the many years.

I'm a car guy in general so I like a variety of cars...I absolutely love my '01S430 AMG Mercedes and I love the Dodge Magnum. Bought the Magnum after getting one for a Rental out in Vegas one year...and I used to work for Mercedes so I have an appreciation for some of those from the time frame I worked there(why I have the '01 and a '91 300SL). I just have a hard time not having a fleet for some reason....it's an exercise in self punishment at times though...LOL.

@05stangkc Got your friend request on December 14, 2023 - I was puzzled, thinking... "this must have gotten lost from back in 2010 or so, and just now got to me?!?" Thought I would swing on by and see what was going on. Surprise surprise! Glad to see some of the folks that were here back in the day making a return!
I'm still standing! My Pony is 18+ years old and still in my garage! 128,000 miles as of last week and still going strong. Was trying to teach my daughter how to drive stick in it before she returned to college. Funny, since she used to ride in a car seat in the back way back when... now she wants to take it to the beach with her friends this summer when she's on summer vacation. LOL... ONLY if she learns how to properly drive it!
This forum was something back in the day, wasn't it? I remember it was LOADED with activity and enthusiasm! I was SOO stoked when "Kzinti" over at Blue Oval was providing sequencing/build/delivery dates, and being really excited to hear my "date with destiny" was August 11, 2005 - the day I would get my new Pony! @TacoBill was always my helpful "go to" guy, (no offense @houtex you are a great one as well!) . The vendors were great, with exciting aftermarket add-ons coming left and right! I'm glad to still be here - a LEGACY MEMBER!
I posted a current pic in the "convertible top speed" thread but will add some more here:

Hello gang!
It's been awhile. Still got the 2000 Ranger as my daily and the Mustangs are non running atm. The 94gt is still mine and the 96 v6 I gave it to my nephew. I'm resisting my urge to buy a newer vehicle but I've been lurking the local adds for a few that had gotten my interest. Like a Jaguar XFR lol.

Thanks! At this time I'm debating if it's gonna be either fixed, sold as is, parted out or scrapped. Kinda not having the same energy or desire to be wrenching on old crapboxes as I used to have in the past.
