Ordered our first mustang gt on 8/22/11. Looks from the window sticker that it was built 9/7/11. My dad has had three mustangs, '78 white cobra, manual with red seats (which I tried modeling mine after), '87 blue 5.0 automatic with nitrous and shift kit that he took to the drag strip, '94 white 5.0 with steeda stripes. We ordered a 2012 GT premium, performance white, red brick cashmere interior, automatic, hood scoop, chrome billet grille, glass roof, 18" polished alum rims, security pkg.

I actually convinced my wife that this would be her car. She was wanting a Lincoln MKX, I got her to test drive a v6 and I watched her as she punched the gas. It was myself, wife, and sales gal with us, my wife's exact words were "If I was a guy, I would totally have a boner right now!" She felt it (the HP that is), she finally felt what I had talked about when riding with my dad or when I took out the '87 5.0 before I was 16 and got up to 120 mph. At that point I knew she had to drive the GT, since that's really what I was trying to get "her". So we both settled with her getting the performance white paint with red seats and automatic, and I got it to be a GT with the glass roof. Way too excited to get this ride!!

I'm sure everyone who gets on here has the same question, but when can the car be expected. The dealer told me 4-6 weeks, we've also heard 8-10 from other dealers we talked to before settling with the one we went thru. So...
