I am looking at a pretty beat up '69 Convertible with the standard 6cyl 115 hp engine, power steering, no power brakes. It has been sitting for a year or two and we are looking at buying it.

But, this would be my first Mustang. I think it would be fun but it will take some work. New muffler, some work on the bench seat, etc. but the person before really took good care of it prior to letting it get in some disrepair.

My concerns are how much I should spend to purchase it and how much it is going to cost me to get it up to speed and out the door.

My question to the forum is what should I look at prior to purchasing it.

Thoughts?
