New TMS Member W/ New (Used) Mustang

I just wanted to introduce myself.... I'm out here in California living in Orange County and just bought an '05 Mustang with some issues.

My first car was a 1948 Ford F-100 w/ raked suspension and mags (I love that truck) and second car was a 1967 Mustang (Highland Green like the Bullit with the 5 point mags). Then I got married and had kids.............

I had been driving a Dodge Dakota RT for years and last month sold it and took the plunge back into the world of the Blue Oval w/ an '05 Blue Mustang V-6. It has what looks like a Cervini Mach 1 Hood, Cervini Retro Grill, Eibach Springs, Dual Exhaust Conversion (with some God awful fart cannon mufflers) and the kicker...... 20" x 10" steel cast wheels with 35 aspect ratio tires.

I love the car.... Beautiful inside and out.... But these frickin wheels are driving me nuts.... They are inhibiting the cars ability to accelerate, brake, and just this morning, I hit a gnarly bump on the 405 freeway and the back tire hit the fender..... because the wheels stick out an inch and a half.... the frickin fender sliced a 1/2" groove into the front of the tire.

So Hello everyone, and if anyone has some stock 17" or 18" take-off wheels they'd like to part with.... Hit me up.

Welcome to TMS.

You should try posting a add on craigslist for a direct exchange locally, theres always somebody willing to put on a set of 20's. There should be alot of members here with aftermarket wheels that have originals still, hope you can get a set. If they stick out that far they must not be spaced for a Mustang, just some crap the person threw on there.

Welcome! Post some pics when you get a chance. I'm a fellow V6 owner. What wheels are on it? It's not because they're 20's. Whoever put them on there probably just didn't know what they were doing. Have you checked to make sure that your speedometer is still correct?
