Hi,

My name is Conny (I'm a male tell you as I know that Connie is a female name
in U.S) I live in Sweden and 2011 I travelled to Germany to buy my first ever
Mustang. My first choice was to get a V6 2011 as the motor was good enough with 300 hp. Well I ended up buying a 2011 GT. The reason I bought the car in Germany is that we have no dealers in Sweden that import Mustangs more than one at the time and when I was looking there was no 2011 for sale in Sweden. But you can be shure that we have many Mustang owners over here right from the 64 modell to some very nice Shelbys of newer dates.
The company in Germany had at least twenty cars in stock. I hope to get some friends on this forum and to get some answers on questions that I have.

Thank You guys! I had very little time to enjoy my GT last year as I had to modified and register the car in Sweden and then the season was over. I now prepering myself and the car for a very nice spring and summer with lots of driving and visit as many car meetings as possible. I have an issue with my drivers seat and posted a question in the 2011 forum hope to get some good advice.

Welcome! I lived in Linkoping, Sweden for 8 months last year. I had just got my mustang and had to store it the whole time. I only saw one mustang in town while I was there. Where do you live in Sweden?

I heard Malmoe announced on the train, but I haven't heard of Oxie. I studied abroad in Linkoping and traveled a lot. It was a good time, but I don't know if I could live there with the climate.

Oxie is about five minutes from Malmoe. Right now we waiting for spring the snow has melted away but this morning we had a little snow again, but in a month it is time to bring out the car and enjoy that is if you living down south, in the north they still have lots of snow. Could you or anyone else please tell me how I post questions regading my car on this forum? I have some issues with my drivers seat...

Conny..welcome to TMS. Don't forget to post some photos when you bring her out for Spring. We love photos!

Too post a question, you can go to the 2010-2014 thread, and you will see a small red box on the left (New Topic) which is used to start the thread with your question. Be sure and identify your car by year and model. If you are having a problem with your seat, tell us what seats you have (power or manual). Hopefully, someone will have an answer for you.

Hagstroms the brand Elvis used in his 1968 NBC comeback show. I remember
a commercial poster having a picture of Elvis in his leather suite with the words 'Fit for a king'.

Thanks You,
I will post some pictures as soon I find out how to post them. When I bought the car it had dark grey stripes and rockerpanels. I didn't like the look of it and I want to make the car "my own" so I had it removed and the car was waxed and polished by professionals. Right now it is clean with no exterior mods.I have some ideas about orange rockerpanel stripes, window louvres in same color as the car, blackout decklid panel, and black wheels, all these parts are very expensive over
here so I have to order them from U.S.A not shure about the shipping cost yet.

Knowing Sweden, atleast daylight running lights. Possibly fog-taillight, extra turn markers on the front fenders, possibly something on emissions, but that's probably it.

Mine has the fogtaillight, turn indicators, and a rewiring of the marker lights you folks have behind the turn signals. Over here the turn signals can only be used to indicate a turn, so they can't light up if I switch on the lights

That's a good description also we have to stamp the vin into some hard to replace part on the chassi, then you have to go to the carinspection to get their
approvement, sometimes they can be real mean pickin' on everything.

In my case the lights and some more things was already fixed in Germany and
I had to fix the fender turn lights, also as soon the vehicle is in the country there
is a lot of paperworks, checking it's original country previous owner so on.
Just all the paper and registration from the day I bought the car in Germany until I had the Swedish plates and was able to drive it permanently cost me approx 1500 U.S. dollars.
