Hello fellow mustang lovers,
My Name is Steve. I reside in PA and have been a mustang fan since I was 10. My oldest brother had a 67 in ivy green with a white vinyl top. He had the 283 V 8 with 4 on the floor. Unfortunately, he got drafted and got sent to Viet Nam. He made it home but had to sell the Mustang while he was in the military. I will never forget shortly before he shipped out, he took me for a wild ride up this country road. I was hooked. I have owned 2 in my life time. I had a 2002 GT. I had a lot of work done on the motor and it worked well. Unfortunately, I needed a 4x4 truck for work.. not a car that I only drove 6 months a year. The funny part of that purchase was we were shopping for a car for my wife and I saw the mustang. We ended up leaving with 2 cars. Fast forward to 3 years ago and we are car shopping for my wife again. We walked in and on the showroom floor was a 2010 Roush Mustang in pristine condition. I actually knew the previous owner. He had passed away and this car was part of the estate.. We ended up buying a car for my wife... I said nothing about buying the Roush. I was drewling all over it though. 2 days later... my wife says... if you want that car... go buy it.... you deserve it. Done deal! I guess after 40 years of marriage... she knows me. I look forward to talking to you all. Steve
Thanks guys,
I only drive it on nice days and its always shinned up. I love the car and appreciate the beauty of it. I swear no matter where I go, someone will stop me and tell me what a sweet ride it is. One day I was at a car dealer getting the oil changed. When it was done, the mechanic pulled it out front. This couple probably in their late 50s stopped me and said wow that is a beautiful car. The husband said wow those 2020s are sharp. Of course its a 2010 but I was flattered that my detailing was good enough to present as new. Im always surprised how many people comment on my car. I have a question for you guys.
I have have a brother, a brother in law and a good friend expected to let me drive it. The in-law was actually pissed when I said forget it. First, I spent a **** ton of money on it and as you can see, if it was wrecked it would never be the same. They only made 515 that year and not that many red ones like mine. It also was the first year for that body style. Second, a super charged car is a totally different kind of power. My in law had a piece of **** Torino that barely made enough HP to spin the tires. When I first bought it, I took my boss for a ride. I lit it up in 1st, When I hit 2nd I saw the guard rails, caught it and was sideways again hitting 3rd. These guys make me feel kind of bad for not letting them drive my dream car. Opinions?
Steve
Don't do it, usually your first judgement is the best. I have a 07 gt and wouldn't let any of my friends drive it and especially family that I wasn't comfortable doing so. They are the first to expect it to be ok if they hurt it. Don't let it bother you. Oh yeah welcome to the source and sweet ride.
Welcome to TMS! That is a very nice find. Glad you were able to pick it up and your wife pushed you to get it. Very nice looking Roush! Love them in Red with White accents!
Hey I would not let just any one drive my car either. Mine is not supercharged, but it is still a manual with more horse power than most of my friends and family have seen for a while. I would like to keep mine as pristine and intact as possible. Congrats! Stand your ground.

it's your call on who you let drive it . . . personally I am a lot "looser" about that than most, I guess. I actually let a friend of mine borrow my 2010 GT for a couple weeks, even knowing that he has a terrible driving record. It worked out fine, but I had to accept the possibility that it might not come back the same. But it is just a regular GT and has over 100,000 miles on it, including a bunch of track days, so what the heck. You'd have to be the judge of whether they would do something stupid or not.
Welcome and nice ride! Your call, but I wouldn't want people driving it either. I have three friends I would trust with my car, other than that, no one would get to drive it (except the wife).
