New Here with a 05 GT soft top with 13k original miles
Hey everyone. I joined in attempts to help my mother obtain more information about parting with her 2005 GT. Its a convertible, red, with 13k original miles. It's bone stock and has never been modified, driven in the rain, or damaged. It was a dream for her and my dad to have the car & drive the grandkids to get ice cream with the top down in the summer. While he was able to enjoy the car briefly, my dad passed a few years ago and it just isn't the same for my mum. She's decided to sell it, but she's hoping to get some ideas for fair market value for the car as it a bit of a rare bird with the low miles and it's unmodified condition.
If anyone has any good resources or insight to share, we'd really appreciate it. The car is located in Central Wisconsin. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! As for your question, I would suggest starting with Kelly Blue Book and start from there... You could also look into classic car insurance companies like Hagerty and Grundy and perhaps they could either provide a quote or provide you with some resources... Sorry For The Circumstances Surrounding Your Situation. When it Comes To That Type of Car it's All About Finding The Right Buyer. Lots of Pics and at Least a General Idea of The Area it is In Would Be Helpful in Providing Some Feedback. Paperwork is great if Your Dad Kept The Window Sticker and any Service Records. A Trip To Kelly Blue Book Should Give Some Good Information But Book Values Can Be Way Off and Condition of Car is a Bonus To Certain Buyers Wanting That Like New Vintage at This Point Car. Low Miles are Great But Car Needs To Have Been Driven Regularly to Keep The Juices Flowing.
The Best Way To Set values is To Try & Find Out What Others Have Actually Paid For Cars Which are Close in Condition & Mileage.
Post Some Pics and Info and We Will See What we Can Do!
Also I Must Caution You If Trying To Sell Yourself To Not Allow Yourself To Be Put in a Situation Where You Could Be Carjacked or Otherwise Scammed! Be Cautious With All Aspects or a Private Party Sale!

Thank heavens it's a stick or I'd be back on my way to Wisconsin again. I can't drive manuals any longer due to knee pain. A little over two years ago my wife and I drove up to WI to get a crazy low 8,800 miles 2014 GT 'vert. The car was listed in the low $30's.
With your low miles GT, a premium comes into play that the price guides never reflect accurately. You want to begin the sale ASAP before the winter season hits. It's a killer for 'vert sales. You also need to start high with your price as people like me are aways searching for low miles, one owner, non abused rides. We will pay top dollar (within reason) for such an example. I would start at a price in the low $20's and accept whatever you feel comfortable with. High teens would be fine but not lower. The WI dealership that sold my trade-in 2007 GT/CS 'vert with 65,000 miles on it got a price in the high teens. That is why you should NOT go lower than that. It was in really good condition but your low miles GT exceeds that attribute. Definitely list on Hemmings where the serious buyers will appreciate and pay for a ride such as yours. Best of luck!!!!

Dave! The reason the WI dealership got a price into the high teens for your traded-in 2007 GT/CS vert was it had 65,000 miles on it... The OP's 2005 GT vert has only 13,000 original miles which is a significant difference by comparison...Therefore, I would recommend the OP start a price in the low $30's and negotiate from there until she feels comfortable enough at a fair price. Also, keep in mind that when trading-in a vehicle at a dealership they're not going to give you what you think the car is worth, but rather only what the fair market value is mostly due that it's more difficult to finance an older vehicle which is 10 years old and older....
In my honest opinion, that dealership in WI did give you a pretty good deal on trade-in for your 2007 GT/CS vert despite having 65,000 miles on it, but if you had sold the car outright as opposed to trading-in, you more than likely could have got between the lower to mid 20's...
Knowing the OP prefers to sell the car outright rather than trading-in... IMHO, if she sells the car outright, I think she could very well get anywhere in the upper mid 20's, but that's just my opinion...
