sounds pretty high....how many miles? My neighbor was tring to sell his '04 for $18,500 with 38,000 miles on it and I thought he was on crack. You can get '05s for under 20K if you shop enough.

Keep shopping, find a good used 05 with some miles on it. Chances are, if it has some miles on it, it is a highway car. Take mine for example: I have an 06 with 52K miles on it. 85% of the miles are highway, and I fully expect the engine/tranny to outlast the rest of the car...which is in like new condition. I don't expect to be buying a new car for at least 8 more years.

It had 21k miles, mint condition. The dealer said hed go down like 500 bucks putting it at $17,000. Do you think if I offered say $16,800 that be fair? I like both bodys between the 04 and new ones. For a car four years old 21k miles isnt terrible tahts like 5k miles a year. I dont think this car had the crap beat out of it, it lookd like it was garaged and everything. The told me it was owned by an attorney but who knows whether they are lieing or not.

I bet the car is in good shape, I have no doubt....but it is 6 model years old...if you could get it for 16K I think you did pretty well. Mach 1's are going for right around 18-20k...

I'm telling you, try driving an 05 before you make a decision. You will not believe the difference.

I drove an 07 GT and the 04 Gt today. They were both used but the 07 was 10 grand more. The inside of the 07 was much nicer but I do like the outside of the 04. What is an 04 mach?

If you can get a mach 1, go for it! I'd do almost anything for one!

Is that what I ask the dealer for mach 1? Or is there something written on the stand that says special edition or something?

those "air intakes" are called scoops btw.
there's only one air intake on a car, and that's under the hood connected to the throttle body.

and go for an 04, but make sure you find a good deal.

Take your time and research everything before you buy. I would have purchased differently if I knew everything I know now before I bought my car.
