Cool

Well, I picked it up on Thursday and drove straight to the alarm installer to have the starter/alarm put in. They had not done an '05 Mustang before, so the going was slow...
Finally was able to pick it up Friday afternoon and go for a real drive. WOW! What a car!
I can't believe that it's a Mustang, man have they come a long long way from my '03 GT! The only thing that I can find in common between the two is the name, this is a real car! :worship:
Here are a couple snaps from Friday night at my Mustang club meet at a local Ford dealer.
If you are still waiting, hang in there, it's worth it.

Congrats on the car! Very sharp. :banana2:

Oh, and just out of curiosity, how did they put a remote start in a stick shift car? I thought that wasn't possible since you have to press in the clutch to start it.

Thanks for my first official nanner!
You can get a starter for a standard, but there is a procedure to follow when you get out of the car. It has to be in neutral, then you set the hand brake and remove your foot from the brake pedal and get out. The engine then shuts down and the doors lock.
I got a Compustar this time, I like it better than the AutoStart that I had on my '03 (also standard). It has better range, and the remote is better.

I had the starter in my standard trans truck but i only used it when I remembered to set it which was not very often. Not going to bother on the Stang

I got a Compustar put on my 05 manual as well, the 2w900fm model. What model is yours? The place that had installed mine had never done an 05 before either, and they had quite a time getting a few things right. Have you had any issues with it so far? Mine used to go off after 30 seconds because of the courtesy light...fixed that. Then it would go off after 30 minutes because of a "sleep mode" on the car...fixed that. Right now, the pager seems to go off sometimes when nobody is paging me...not too worried about it, will probably have them remove that part when I go back for the interior motion sensor.

Very nice! Excellent choice of color. The black Stangs are the meanest!
