Hi all,
New here! I'm excited to say that I am the proud [future] owner of a Mustang GT! Its going to be my first Mustang, first Ford, and first American car. As of right now I drive a 2005 Audi TT Roadster. Got myself the 225hp quattro version and I love it, but it needs to go.
Currently I have a 2013 Gotta Have It Green GT Premium on order - 400A, black over the top stripe, comfort package, electronics package, 3.55 rear end. Just got my VIN and build date yesterday. Depending on how things play out I might cancel my 2013 order to upgrade to a 2014.
Does anyone know why you can't get a 401A with a stripe?

Well, I suppose an update on my situation is in order. As some of you may know I ordered a 2013 GT a while back. It kept getting delayed further and further so I got fed up with it and canceled. I figured I'd order a 2014, so I've been bouncing between a few dealers getting a trade appraisal on my Audi. Then one dealer made me an offer so good that I couldn't refuse it, and it just so happened that they had a car that was 85% what I wanted (had some stuff I didn't want and was missing some stuff I did). The most important thing though was that it was a GHIG GT Premium 6MT (my 3 MUST HAVE requirements). I was still borderline between it and ordering a 14 when the salesman pushed the already really high trade offer even higher. So now this....
Shes still at the dealer, got there kinda late last night so didn't have time to finish the paperwork before closing. Going back to do that today. Then they're going to install stripes for me (still need to figure out what design I want, they will be full length stripes - front/rear bumpers + hood + roof + trunk - and I'm thinking a nice thin-thick-thin pattern would be good). Hopefully I'll bring her home this weekend.
Some more details:
-400A
-3.31 rear end (would've ideally had the 3.55, but I can live with this)
-Leather Recaros (would not have got those since I wanted heated seats, but again, not a big deal)
-Shaker Pro (not something I wanted, but again I'll manage. I was surprised at how much room the trunk subwoofer takes up though)
-19" machined wheels (look cool, but I would of been just as happy with the standard 18s)
-Rear-view Camara (cool toy to have and will definitely use it but not something I would've ordered)
What I would've got that this doesn't have:
-3.55
-Comfort Package
-Electronics Package
-Pedestal spoiler
Sure it seems like its very different than what I would've ordered, but the importance of all those options was so low and the trade-in value was so unexpectedly high that it really balanced out in the end.
The dealer did say they can install OEM Ford heating elements in the Recaros, but I'm not sure how much I'm willing to do that or how much I trust it. I also want to get the suede steering wheel from the Boss, but that will depend on cost.

Hah! The first 2013 I ordered was from Bill Brown Ford in Livonia. I'll probably still be breaking it in then.
