Hello from the Florida Panhandle

Nice Forum and Thanks for Having Me.....

Ok, I have a 1996 Gt resto project. It was the wifes first car that she got in 2000. She took EXCELLENT care of the car and added a few mods. The first pic is how it looked in 2005.

.
.
In 2005 she bought an SUV and gave the GT back to her parents. They gave the GT to her teen brother who excessively abused the car. He only had it for 18 months
.

.
Trust me.... there's more damage like cigarette burns in the back seats and there was about two gallons of water in the floorboard.....
Anyway, the car was taken from him and given back to my wife. Now, "I" get to treat her RIGHT.
.
I've already gutted the interior. I just received new carpet, door pulls and FR500 steering wheel. I just ordered black chrome headlight/corner markers. I want to replace the seat skins myself but Im having trouble finding seat foam for the SN95 (any help ?) Luckily, we have and extreme paint and body man in the family so I can get that done for cost (plus a lil Im sure). I'll send more pics when all the cosmetics are done. Then I can work on performance mods.

Again, I like the looks of your forum and thanks for letting me vent.....

"TALLAHASSEE"
Been here for 40 yrs. To me, its Florida's best kept secret...
sorry for the delayed response ...... I.ve been ripping out the interior, among other things.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I already have a room full of replacement parts and Im searching for time to get started. And, I have a great lead on a S. Georgia upholstery shop that supposedly does pristine work for a great price.

updated photo

Ok, so I installed new carpet, a new FR500 steering wheel, dyed the airbag, replaced both door panel cups, and installed a new pair of '02 front leather seats with a new power rack, and a new stereo. And, I did some serious clean up on everything else. Just wanted to share this one pic.

That's a great transformation! How can that much damage be done in 18 months?!
