Alright you south florida Stangers......

I have been throwing around this idea since the end of last year..... thought it would be a great idea to get as many south florida 05 drivers in one spot, hang out, check out each other rides, get some pics for the site, etc..... been sorta waiting to try and let as many eager folks get their hands on their cars as possible and all that.....

But I just had a prime opportunity pop up today that I thought would be great so the word goes out now.

The Fort Lauderdale Mustang Club (of which I am not a member but considering joining quite soon) has a show every year called the South Florida Mustang and Ford Roundup - this will be the fifth year. Wanted to go last year but couldn't - my brother took his drag car there though and made quite an impression with 'Bullitt'. Anyway, he and I were talking today about possibly bring Bullit back again this year.... with a few 'wingmen'.... Namely, my black GT and his and his wife's Redfire GT.

So on the drive home today, it suddenly occured to me that this would be a prime opportunity to try and get some 05 folks together and try and pull a group together.

Hosted by Fort Lauderdale Mustang Club at Outdoor World/Bass Pro Shops in Dania Beach located off I-95 and Griffin Road. Event hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m with check-in running 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Registration fee is $20.00 (pre-registration $15.00 before March 23, 2005). On site hotel. Nearby, beach, shopping, amusement park including go-carts and wooden roller coaster.

AGain, I am NOT affiliated with this event at all and 'stumping' for it - just thought it would be a good opportunity to use. (and i know the timing might work out perfect for folks like Mustangshadow who should HOPEFULLY get the twin to my car in the next week or two )

Anyway, anyone else out there might be interested in this? Maybe Boss Hog, MTAS, 169Stang, etc.... I forget the handles but I know there were a few folks out of Miami with 05s I floated this idea to months back....

I am interested in attending, I live in West Palm, so the drive would be great---however I may be moving that day!

 

I'm up for it. What's the registration for though? Is it a car show or just a get together for that Mustang club?

out west in Royal Palm Beach just west of state road 7 and by the Al Packer West dealer off of Southern Blvd.

 

It is a car show and that's for entry - its hosted by the car club but you don't have to do that to show up. (Actually, it would look kinda funny to have a corner of the parking lot FULL of 05s that weren't entered in the car show.... )

Hey Kevin, Today I believe I saw you on Okeechobee heading West over 95. Do you have stripes on your car now? I believe I noticed a different grill and a stars and stripes running pony emblem.

Burke, where about in Boynton? I moved out to the acreage in May, but grew up in Boynton.

 

not to get off topic but my neighbor is a salesman at Arrigo Dodge and he asked me if I knew anyone interested in a used 05 Mustang GT with high mileage(I dont remember the exact number over 10k)because someone traded it in for a 300!
They are asking 29k! He didnt know what it had on it.

 

I say we all meet at Moroso on a Wed. or Fri. I know Moroso is far for most, just an idea. I know there is a "car get together" every Friday night in front of Lowes-Royal Palm (Southern, 441). Okay, let's think further East or even South. Any suggestions?

No, I was in my Explorer. Have you been out to Moroso yet? I go out there almost every Wed/Fri. nights. I want to go tomorrow, but it may be too wet?

 

I think the mustang club of the palm beaches meets at a krispy kreme on the first thursday of the month.
wouldnt it be great if we all showed up there!
I have seen the cars at Southern and SR7.

 

I havent been to Moroso in about a decade! They are having a Chevy show soon.

 

Okay, Now you all are going to get my rear in a sling with all these shows. I'm going to the NMRA in Bradenton this weekend, then possible the Dania one Burke mentioned the 1st weekend of April. NOW, Perry here has to mention another one the following weekend or so in Polk county. I don't like polk county too much=I got my last ticket there.

 

chevy show is this weekend. I have no busines there. just kidding, but I will be at the FORD event in Bradenton this weekend.

 

I work every sunday so I wont be traveling up to the other shows. Although it would be a blast.
I still havent had my Mustang on the interstate or turnpike. actually havent gone any further than Lake Worth to UPRs shop!
