I am a new mustang owner i recently got the car from my uncle who sadly got to old to enjoy it anymore. i couldn't be more excited i love the car (2011 GT Premium 6 speed) not entirely sure if it is a track pack or anything like that dont know how i would go about telling it apart. Sadly tho i am starting to get hit with some of the down sides of this car got the charging system warning and car has been down for about 3 months now. I wanna get it back on the road asap. feel free to reach out and i hope everyone has an amazing day.
ps Any suggestions about good sounding exhaust im looking for cut outs on something that i will be able to control. please let me know if you have any advice or just wanna tell me about your ownership experience.

If you Do Not Have Any Equipment to test Charging System I would Advise a Local Parts House That Test's Batteries For Free as a Start. Make Sure Connections Are Clean as Can Be Too! These Cars are Bad for Battery Issues. If you Need a New Battery Get a Good One! Don't Skimp on Price!

I concur with the posts submitted above and would also request that you provide some details as to which troubleshooting steps you have taken in regards to the charging system... Meanwhile, welcome aboard!
Steps i have taken today
1, Check all fuses and wiring that have anything to do with the battery system. all fuses were fine no pops, wiring connections had very little if any corrosion or anything else on them (cleaned thoroughly just to be on safe side.)
2, Tested alternator and battery with a voltmeter battery starts around 12.3-12.6 instantly starts dropping hard when started and running no magnetic pull from alternator, no spike in voltage when car was running
3, Battery has been on charger all day and is saying battery is in good condition and fully charged also checked main drive belt just to be certain
Tomorrow i am taking the alternator to autozone or oreillys and get it tested
My conclusion,
My alternator is most likely my best bet (tell me if im wrong) for what my problem may be.
also i noticed my thermostat was leaking while i was taking the parts off around it, is just getting a new gasket ok or will i be needing a whole new thermostat.
Any help appreciate Have a good one!

Following the required troubleshooting steps taken, I definitely agree that your alternator does in fact require replacement.. Regarding the leaking of the thermostat, you just might as well replace the entire thermostat along with new gasket.. You would eventually need to replace the stat anyhow... Therefore, much better off to replace it now and be done with it... Meanwhile, thanks for providing updates for the troubleshooting steps you have taken regarding the charging system
