Thoughts on GT500 exhaust??

wanted33 gave me this excellent idea to make my '14 GT sound better. The stock exhaust is really quiet compared to my old stock '07 GT. Has anyone else bought this Ford racing setup? Have you liked it?

I have these on my 2013 GT and love the sound. I've had many compliments as well. And if you like what you hear, that's all that really matters!

Thanks for the reply. That's good to hear. I would like something more 'throaty' yet not too loud. My '14 GT is very quiet to me compared to my R/T which has an unreal stock 'note'..Even my '01 Trans Am has that cool LS1 sound.

Fyi the Verts Always Had Quieter Mufflers From the Factory vs Hardtop. Just a tidbit for your Noodle!

I did not know that. My '07 'vert had such a nice exhaust note though in comparison to this '14. Maybe the 5 speed contributed to that. Getting into the higher RPM range always sounds good.

Manual mufflers VS Automatic mufflers, there really is a difference in them.
BTW if you go that way with the GT500's 2011-12 are single outlet that fit your rear valance and the 2013-14 are the dual outlets per muffler that you need to change out your rear valance and cut the rear bumper for. I think it will sound great but I am a mellow exhaust person anyways and I hate drone (causes weird feedback on my hearing aids).

While We are On Trivia. The Radios are Different From Coupe to Vert as Well, Have Different Tone Curve. Learned That when I Was Selling Nav Radio's Back in the Day! So Beware if you Ever get a Used Oem Radio.

Yep Siber, Drone Sucks! And My Hearing is Bad Too. Got One Good Ear and One Bad Ear. Too Much Loud Music Back in the day! Can't Hear Well When I Get a Cell Phone Caller! I like Old School At&T Landlines, No Prob Hearing There. Don't Own a Cell! I try to Keep a Certain Ear Towards the Wife! You will Have to Guess Which one!

Did not know that about the radio, but it makes since because the rear speakers are in a different spot so the radio would have to mix differently. Also the Electronics Package radio does not need the extra Amp when you put the Shelby subs in the doors where the Shaker 500 does.
My hearing aids are Bluetooth and connected to my cell phone.
BTW it is always the good ear towards the wife (wink, wink, nod, nod)

Update: I ordered the exhaust today from American Muscle. It will be installed by my shop on Oct 21. $668.49 was the final cost with tax. Shipping to my shop was free. Keeping my fingers crossed I like the sound. The video really helped. Thanks also to those that responded.

Follow-up. I had the exhaust installed today and it's perfect. Not too loud yet hearty and correct for the GT, just like my '07 was. Not sure why Ford quieted down the system but it's remedied now. $85 at my local shop. Nice!! The video sound in the first post is spot on;

I'm happy to hear your enthusiasm wasn't muffled for the exhaust my friend. Those do play some beautiful music.

Ford performance doesn't make the best looking welds, but they do make a fine exhaust system.

Seems IMO exhaust manufacturers improved upon the design of their exhaust systems ever since the Coyote 5.0 4v debuted over 11 years ago... Prior to the 2011 model year, there were only just 2 exhaust systems designed for the 2005-10 S197 Mustang which produced zero interior resonance drone which were from Corsa Performance Exhaust and Ford Racing M-5230-S FR500S aka GT500KR...

Despite Borla claiming their exhaust system kits produced zero interior resonance drone for the 2005-10 S197 models, Borla did not fully address the resonance drone issues until they revamped their entire exhaust lineup beginning in 2011..

At any rate, when it comes to finding that optimum sounding exhaust system, owners of 2011-current Coyote equipped Mustangs have a much wider selection to choose from compared with those who own the older 2005-10 S197 4.6 3v models... Meanwhile, congrats on finding the right exhaust system for your 2014 GT
