From Focus ST to Mustang GT
#1
Hey guys, Just traded my 2013 tuxedo black Focus ST-2 in after incurring heavy hail damage for a new 2014 ruby red Mustang GT with the brembo package and 3.73 gears/ Torsen LSD as ala carte options.
To say the least, I am in love! After 9 years of being a part of the focus community I've finally made the switch to my childhood dream car and I love it! The focus st is fantastic car and a dream in the corners but, after incurring some serious hail damage I decided to get out from under the car and took advantage of some rebates/ my insurance check and here I am. Looking forward to modding and personalizing my 5.0 over the coming months right now contemplating my first mod: either a Barton STS/bracket or an axle back exhaust (between the gt500 and Roush systems)

I'd start out with the shift bracket alone. For a lot of people, the bracket fixes their issues. Personally I like the stock shifter feel.
For exhaust, think long term. If you ever want to do x pipe or headers, the roush will be too loud. If not, it sounds good.

Welcome! Funny, before I ordered my 2014 GT (almost here) I was about to order a FST or a Fusion, as a new family car. My fiancée convinced me to just get what I really want and she'd take over my 05 Escape for mommy duties..and well, I have suspension, light tint all around/replacement clear front side markers, GT500 steering wheel, Steeda G-Trac Brace, oil separator, front mud guards and a CravenSpeed Stubby antenna all waiting to go on my car

As far as exhaust, I'm bucking the trend and I'll be going with the Solo Performance catback. I had previously settled on the Stainless Works catback, but I'm thinking it might be too loud for me in the long run. Another good, but different axleback/catback is the Jeg's Heartthrob - very deep and old school muscle car sound.
