Red face Another one from Europe

Hey there ´stang lovers,

I thought its high time to introduce myself ---I´ve already wrote threads - so lets continue:

I was born in Hungary, and now I am working in Germany...always been and always will be an american muscle fan....and who knows maybe I´ll be able to spend my rest of my life in the States. I am 26 btw

about the car I have now, is a ´06 GT bought it in 2009.nov (Imported from Miami)

I am satisfied and driving still with a big smile....although it has problems...(filling up the tank...or now this idle problem ) but I love it...and the problems will be solved soon

The car still stock..

some pictures of the car and another one from me (was having fun at a photoshoot)

welcome to TMS!! For the idle issue you might need to clean your throttle body and for the filling issue, have you tried inverting the filling nozzle as in turn it up side down and then fill?

Thanks guys!

@Glenn: unfortunately I had no time to check / clean this...hopefully I can clean it this weekend....

although I am a bit afraid of the cleaning, I read some posts that after the cleaning the IDLE went crazy.... I want to avoid that, I can live with this situation what I have now, I just need to wait till the engine is warm, but of course I will clean the Throttle body - (makes sense)

Had a buddy had a trouble filling the tank the dealer told him it was the canister under the hood some sort of filter for the fuel tank vent.

The S197 had fuel filler neck issues. Glenn's solution is known to somewhat remedy that. I do know there's a TSB out on it.

Above one seems to be superceded by the below one:

Short of the matter: they tell you you're outta luck. No clue if there's a real fix for this out there.

HEy There, thanks for the TSBs but according to these:

Replacing the fuel tank on these vehicles will not change the occurence of automatic fuel fill shut off. Occurrences of premature shut-off may be reslved or improved by using a different filling station fuel pump..

So theres a ****ed up TSB recommending something stupid)

Thanks anyway
