?? ABOUT 97 STANG CONV,VIN, CHECK ENG LITE & CRUIZ

I need all of the help I can get! My Wife long ago had a 64/1/2 Stang &
loved it so that when this '97 Stang conv GT showed up in good condition
@ a reasonable price we bought it for her.
She Loves this car so much she will hardly dive the OLD 2001 Quest!
I get to work on it but that's all (Unless She is out of town).
My current Question 's are;
1)THIS CAR RUNS GREATttttttttttttt however the check engine light just came on and want's to stay on, It came on a month or so ago it had low oil & Low water and went away with adding oil & Water, Oil & H2o OK now, Serpentine Belt flew apart last week, Cleaned out all schards of it & replaced with new 3YR belt, checked all fluids and everything is OK, disconnected Battery to reset Computer, lite still on! Will any of the parts houses hook it up to a tester?? I know they did in oregon long ago ???
Where is the O2 sensor to be found? Can I get to it without crawling under the car? It's to low to go over a speed bump slowly!
2) The Cruiz control worked when we got it but now the light doesn't come on indicating to me no power but I can't find a blown fuse. should I be looking for a fuselink, Relay or what? I don't have an Elec diagram!
3) the VIN is 1FALP 45X 6VF 147150 & from looking at the chart on this
site the 8th character should not be an x and the same chart says they
only made 11400 and some of these, not 147150.
Perhaps I could stand some enlightenment so please HELP ME!!

I think any place like Autozone will hook up a diagnostic tool for free and tell you what code is thrown. I have a tuner for that kind of stuff.
O2 sensors are under the car, 2 on each side, 1 before and 1 after the cats. If thats what is throwing the code it will tell you what bank/sensor it is.

Thank you for your input.
I will take the car over to the Autozone and see if they will hook it up.
And for the location of the o2 sensors, I know now for sure I cant reach them without getting it off the ground.
I tried to respond shortly after you posted but hit the wrong key and lst the whole thing.
