Wii Thread

The Wii finally got priced and dated today
http://wii.ign.com/articles/732/732669p1.html

$250/ Nov. 19

It will come with:
-a copy of Wii Sports
-Wiimote w/ nunchuck attachment
-Opera Web browser (free wireless browser!)
-A/C adapter
-audio/video cable,
-a sensor bar,
-sensor bard stand,
-Wii console stand and
-two batteries.

There will be more than 25 games to choose from once the year is over.

Download nes/snes/n64 games for $5, $8, and $10 dollars

"In a surprise announcement, Nintendo said that it wanted to make Wii a living room centerpiece by shipping the system with features outside of the videogame realm. Wii will include a photo channel, enabling users to display their digital photos through the console. It will also boast regularly updated news and weather channels. In addition, the system will ship with the Opera Web browser, enabling users to connect online."

Yup, I can't wait to get mine!
But I'll also have to wait a bit before I get mine.

I can't wait to play Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess... It's setting up to be the greatest game ever created. It is so big, it will take you 45 minutes to travel from one end of the land to the other. Not to mention there is supposed to be two different worlds/dimensions.

More on the Zelda game... during the Nintendo event today, Nintendo said that "If you were to play Zelda day to day for six hours, you'd only be scratching the surface..."

youknow what... it doesnt make sense lol... i dont know why, but I automatically though one week. But now that I read it again, it doesnt say for how long. And that is the complete quote from IGN (i think they cut part of it out or the presenter thought everyone would get how many days)
"If you were to play Zelda all day to day for six hours, you'd only be scratching the surface..."

Batteries for the wireless controllers

and the "normal" control will be sold seperately for 20 bucks

Seems like it will come with some Wii points to download those old classics (i.e. duck hunt)

And Wireless is the way to go.

Something that is pretty cool that will come with the Wii, is the Mii function. This is where you create your own avatar and you throw yourself among your buddy list world
http://movie.nintendo.co.jp/data/wii...iimiiiwata.swf
All of your Buddies are stored in the Mii/Wii world, and you can click on them to see their info and see if they are online. It is expected that once the games with the wireless function start being released, this function will be really useful.

The even cooler thing about this is that you can use your avatar, or one of your buddies avatar, and place them in the Wii Sports game that will be bundled with the Wii.
