I'm simply asking any right winged individuals why they think Bush is a good president. I know a mustang forum has quite a high density of Bush supporters, so i figure this would be a good place to finally find someone who can justify a vote for him. So lets hear it.

I agree, BON is much more conducive to discussions of that nature. Politics and to a lesser degree, religion usually denigrate into flame wars quite quickly, so as a courtesy, I am asking to either keep it civil, or take it elsewhere.
One flame, and this thread will be

While it does not directly affect me, it does affect this country as a whole. To be quite honest, as a mid right wing English person, both candidates worry me slightly! Also, you have to question the Political values Bush holds when his main ally (Blair) is a staunch socialist!
If Bush stays in, the exchange rate stays the same because of the insular monetary policies he uses, if Kerry gets in, the dollar will rise and make holidays and parts more expensive for me......so on reflection................ I do not know!

Ok, here I go, even against my better judgement...:
The original questioner is in Montreal if their info is right. I have no idea, of course, but I must accept that at face value, until such time as other evidence to the contrary is presented. And of course, the evidence may or may not be factual, so investigation must be performed upon the evidence and the trail it should have left behind. People must be questioned, and other, tangenital and even non-related evidence brought to life. Even lies must come out and be believed as true for two weeks to be quietly refuted on a back page about him. And only upon the time in which Mustang Sallad has been broken, beaten, and throughoughly investigated into all aspects of his private, business, and public life shall I deem him worthy enough of answering the question put before us by his person: Why vote for Bush?

Now, with that outta the way, I'm gonna say that he's from Montreal for now. In which case, unfortuately, my first real response is "why do you ask? It isn't your country."
However, to be nice, it's like this: I am with Muzzy on this. I really don't care for any of the candidates, so it's more of a thought on the issues at hand. And after careful consideration of the issues, or maybe based on his daughter's partying ways (not really!), the man I vote for is going to be Bush.
I watched some of the debates. It was awful. I hated them. All I saw was Bush stuttering and falling over his thoughts. And then Kerry going "I *would have* done it better/different." Of COURSE you would. Everyone has 20/20 hindsight. And then Bush going "He forgot Poland" Terrible.
So, the debates were not worth much for me. Instead, I searched and I viewed the issues, in various places, and came to my conclusions. Plus, I just don't believe in Kerry. Sorry to those who do, but I believe that the Dems could have done better. I also believed that BOTH parties could have done better in 1999, which is why we're stuck with Bush for the one side now, hence my quandry.
Anyway. That *should* be why you vote for someone: They have similar ideas/beliefs, and you believe in them. But sometimes everyone available falls short, and you have to compromise. I did it last election, and I'm doing it this election.
It's never going to be an easy answer. Except for Reagan, when he SMOKED the other guy. That was easy, apparently...
