just buy a 91-94 Nissan Sentra SE-R and you'll have a better foundation to start from....

I had a 93 SE-R, and while it doesn't have the allure a Mustang does, it was one of the best cars I have ever owned. I redid the entire suspension, moderate engine work, put in a much less restrictive exhaust. As a result, a great handling car that still had alot of pep due to the SR20DE engine. But, that was when I was in high school, and my brother was a technician at a Nissan dealership so parts were cheap, and I had access to parts from NISMO.
