Just the opposite here. Longhorn really sucks, all of them around here, Outback around here are much better.

My little nephews love going to TR, I always make a point to take them when I'm on the Gulf. I think they just like being able to throw the peanut shells on the floor because their mom and dad are so strict at the house about cleanliness. Makes them feel like rebels. I actually like it too, probably my favorite when it comes to chain steak house restaurants. But I prefer local joints when I travel, that's where you get the best food.

 

That would drive me crazy!

Outback is never very good here. It's always so loud and so busy. They NEVER get my order right. Longhorn in Rapid City, SD was really good. We went back more than once. Went in Charlotte too. Wasn't too bad. Much calmer environment. I HATE loud restaurants. I can never hear people.

 

Wait until you are old and deaf like me. It will be way worse

 

I have so much to look forward to.

 

That's my main complaint with Texas Roadhouse and Crapper Barrel. Too much hard surface in the building-- makes sounds bounce around like a steel ball in a pinball game.

 

IIRC, I've been to that Longhorn in Rapid City, lol. I think we had lunch there after leaving Cabelas right down the street.

 

Just point to the menu and order another drink.

Since I'm in silence most of the time, I enjoy crowd watching for a 'people fix' every other week or so. But I know what you mean about trying to have a conversation and listen to one voice with all the background noise.

I can't focus on one conversation when there's tons going on around me. Random words from different conversations just bounce off me and it makes no sense.

 

I have that same problem

 

surf n turf at home tonight. made mussels in a sambuca/feta rose sauce, then home made mozzarella stuffed prime rib meatballs and spaghetti. Food coma now

 

Filled the crock pot with pinto/white beans and a ham hock to cook all day, cheeseburger macaroni, creamed taters, fried okra, cornbread.

Somehow I doubt it sounds the same I envision it sounding long and drawn out from you (like Forrest Gump would say it - no offense, lol)
