Worked today, left at about 3, immediately started cleaning my car and I am just now sitting down for the first time.

Looks great!

I'm hoping to get a wash in tomorrow afternoon after some golf.

It was about a four hour detail job, down to wiping the inside of the fender wells out, and cleaning up every square inch; even got her polished and waxed.

I was really dreading it, because of the snow we randomly got this week after already missing a week of washing it, and it was pretty bad, but came out good. Now I don't have to spend my Sunday washing it, I can just enjoy it.

Ah, Nutley, the home of my former employer. And stlll an odd name.

I'm not even worrying about getting in a good detail. It's probably been 3 months since the car has even been washed. I've been swamped with work, and if not, it's just been bad weather, so no real chance to get it cleaned up.

Me too man, me too. I work every day but Sunday, and by the time I get out of work it's typically dark, and I need at least 1 hour to wash, minimum, so the first thing I do on Sundays is typically wash my car(if you do it once a week it is so much easier to maintain), and then the weather has been completely crap too.

Contemplating trading the mustang in for a four door sedan. I have a kid on the way and im just wanting the safest and more convenient option for the kids sake. I can get 15k for my mustang as of now so theres plenty options. Plus insurance would be cheaper.

Anyone have some good recommendations? I found a used 09 bmw 328 with plenty options and 90k miles for 14k at my local autonation ford dealer. Any tips or recommedations would be awesome! Thank you in advance

Why would you even consider a BMW, with almost 100k miles, when you have a kid on the way?? Come on dude!

I'd look at a small SUV. Are you able to have payments? Or need to trade outright for something?

It was just a thought. It would come with a short warranty through their used car deal.

I need something that still gets pretty decent mileage since i drive alot for work and id need an outright trade. Cant afford payments with rent, bills, and baby stuff.

I see. Then stay away from a BMW, especially one with that high mileage. There's a reason people trade them after only a few years...even IF it came with a warranty, you want to not be using it. Actually I'd really look at a used Escape then. Mine (2005) is slow as sh*t, but it's reliable and I have no payments. You could probably get a 09-10 with $15k, V6 4x4 if you need it. The 2008s had the old engines and 4spd autos. The 2009-2012 have the higher output 2.5 4 cylinder and 3.0 240hp V6. Obviously 2wd would get better mileage.

Yea im thinkin bout escapes and taurus mostly. Maybe even a fusion. I really wanna stay Ford but will go with a honda or acura if need be, theyre reliable as heck. Ill definitely miss the speed but at least in the early years speed wont matter. Safety is priority number one, especially with corpus christi being one of the worst rated in the nation for its drivers

Mine is kicking me through my girl's belly as I type this. She's due in 4 weeks! Check out the 10-12 Fusion too. Another good, reliable, inexpensive car. You can get sync and all the goodies, and still only pay $17k tops for low miles!
