Ya idk the HOA wanted them off. We are selling it this week and they wouldn't sign off on it until that was fixed.

It looks to me, without the boards the rubber bumpers you throw on the side of the boat will not bounce off anything, causing the boat to get stuck under the dock, and/or wrecking the side of the boat. HOA el stupido

None of the other slips have them.... They said it needed to look like the rest. They are very hard there, it's ok tho. We are selling the boat also so we won't have to deal with them much longer

This has to be some of his dads stuff because I can't imagine anyone your age buying a sailboat.

My father owned one and it was the most boring experience of my life.

My dad had a 33' boat from England. Bought it for $30k, spent $30k to restore it, and sold it for $30k.

It would have been easier to just have a bonfire and burn $30k

It was his childhood fantasy to own a sailboat

And after stripping it apart it cost that much to put back together just to be able to sell it

Huge lesson learned

Kind of like buying a Notch Mustang and then spending twice as much in parts and letting it sit for a year :shootme:

I will do everything I can to avoid being in a HOA.

Only boat I didn't mind being on was a carrier, and that's because it was so amazing to see how they got everything on that floating football field. The cat launches were awesome too.

I was thinking tuna padre...
