I believe in the modest dream, ain't lookin' for a pot of gold
A 6 pack and some good marijuana I can watch my mama roll
I believe I can buy a few things like a house with a nice pool
Invite my nobody friends to the party and we'll be in it, **** you

There are times when all the world's asleep,
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am . . .

That old man upstairs, He wears a crooked smile
Staring down on the chaos he created
He said son if you ain't having fun just wait a little while
Momma's gonna wash it all away
And she thinks mercy's overrated

He said son if you ain't having fun just wait a little while
Momma's gonna wash it all away
And she thinks mercy's overrated
Lit up like the Fourth, I'm a happy drunk
Come to poppa big momma cause your daddy's drunk
I wanna pump pump it up like the Goodyear Blimp
Make ya hollar for a dollar that's the way I pimp
Gold links and minks and shrimp dinners on the bayou
Thems are things that I ain't gonna buy you
It's like one of them freak things . . .

Evil Capri, you might like this (or maybe not if you're a true purist like me, lol). Its kind of an unspoken thing in the music world, there are a few things that you don't touch. Covers are alright, most of the time. But in my world, you don't cover The Allmans, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or Led Zeppelin. You just don't do it.
However, I just came across a cover of LZ that is worthy of your time. I heard them on Howard Stern the other day promoting the album and I was taken aback when they started playing. Train. I like some of their songs, but I never realized what a good group of musicians they are. They are good, REALLY good.
They're doing a cover of the entire Led Zeppelin II album in their concerts, the full 45 minutes LZ II album, and then 45 minutes of their own songs.
Its really freakin' good. The guys love LZ and pay respect to them very well. And they nail it. I was shocked. Can't wait to see them do the whole show live, they kicked **** on Stern. Never realized these guys were anything more than pop stars, they are true kick **** pickers and the vocals are top notch.
They did the whole album in the studio and put it out for sale. All proceeds go to a cancer foundation, pretty cool of them. Lots of respect for these guys for that, and more for the job they did. Excellent.
Gotta listen to these back to back like it should be.

Yeah, Lee . . Train is a pretty darn good band and their Zeppelin covers are as well! I first heard them perform a Zeppelin cover on Howard Stern a few years ago.
There is a Zeppelin tribute band (among many) called Zoso, that I've seen live and they are fantastic. I went with some guys that were fortunate enough to see LZ live in the 70s and they gave Zoso a 7 out of 10, which is saying something, in my opinion . . .
