Same here, I didn't get the good ****. Nice reference, I remember Woolworth's like it was yesterday. Remember that they had a cafeteria in there? I always wanted to eat there when my mom dragged me in there. I was a fat boy even then, I wanted a burger at a department store, although I never got one, we couldn't afford it.

 

I always loved eating at the counter at JC Penney's. I remember it was always a treat. Even though usually only got a grilled cheese.

I would ride my bike to Woolworth's or Winn's and spend ally change on some toy. I rode my
bike all over this town. Only rule was I had to be home before dark.

In like 1980 I found a $10 bill on the floor under a shelf! That'd be like finding a hundred now. I was in high cotton!
