Love this band.

 

If I wasn't such a recluse I'd go see these guys. Gonna be near me soon, but I'm just too much of a weirdo and don't have anyone to drive (which I'd need for sure, lol).

 

Anybody ever read the book, Midnight Riders: The Story of the Allman Brother's Band? Eric Clapton was mesmerized my Duane Allman's guitar playing (and the massive quantity of drugs that they kept on hand in the studio). Duane Allman was a god, the music flowed strait from his soul to his fingers, the sounds and the feeling that came out of that Gibson will never be matched in my lifetime. Something special happened there, and it can't be recreated. Maybe our children will live to see something like it happen again.

RIP Duane. Gone but never forgotten. I'm going to have to head to Macon to pay my respects and spend some time at the Big House (museum). (If you read the book, you'd understand)
