i read up a little bit on GT4, and i am impressed with all the work they have done.
-theres gonna be over 500 cars
-courses are real tracks
-the team took 20,000-30,000 photos per track and used global positioning satellites to create the tracks.
-they took about 150-200 photos per car, and use 2,000-3,000 polygons per car (whatever that means)
-includes a "history of driving" mode, where you get to drive historically significant automobiles.
-the team drove every car, and recorded the sound, and the exact times. the handling of the cars is said to be exact or very near to each car.

yeah they are defintely making GT4 the best driving game ever.

There already is a Wheel out for GT4 by logitech i believe, and it costs 150.00 not sure if it is the 900 degree one though

I don't have a PS2. No GT4 for me. I'm lookin forward to Forza Motorsport. Looks like it's gonna be awesome.

 

Nascar Chase for the cup 05 has in addition to the ford GT......

A Mustang GT you can unlock when you earn 75,000 Race points. Then you can take it and race with it at your will! I have not found a screenshot yet.

It has a c6, viper and other assorted muscle cars as well.

HE unlocked the VIPER!! Grr.

Since I am not into Nascar, I have not played it.

Its also a network game, so you can play online.

looks like there recording the actual sounds of the car that steering wheel sounds cool does it have pedals? :drive:

 

yup, they sure are recording the actual sounds. you can expect that for almost all of the 500 plus cars in the game

im not sure if it does have pedals, maybe one of the guys that have seen it can answer your question. i had seen a steering wheel that came with a seat and pedals, just like the real thing, but that costed too much

 

and back from the dead.............

I got sucked back into the sims(2) this past week. Holy crap, I played them so much I am having dreams about em. Had to turn them off tonight just so I could sleep!

 

My wife has dreams and daydreams about Sims.

 

And as of 8/31 I am going to play them till I am sick.
I think I logged 10 hours on them today. Embarassing!

Got em on the DS, gamecube, PC(everyone ever made)......And I am playing family fun stuff now.

I like to make the women, and the mans a jerk, and she doodles the poolboy and he moves in and they have like 84 kids. And then the husband knocks up the Nanny and they all live happily ever after.

I soooooo Love my DS. I played the super mario brothers for months. Nintendogs was fun for a minute, and I adore animal crossing.

I got sucked into Suduko on Brain age. Which in turn sucked me into it on paper.

Meanwhile Phoneguy is in the process of making a Battlefield 2 server of his own- thats his addiction.

I am fighting with myself right now to NOT play the sims.

And the Boy got the coolest game for his birthday- Guitar hero for the Ps2.

 

Get a Sony Location free player pack ! It's great for your psp or lap top or ps its a wireless router that gets you beyond the living room ! My son got me one for Fathers Day . Even your dvd or vcr gets routed though your cable box as well. Great for when you are sick or stuck in doors.
