The sims has got to be the most boring game ever for me. Nothing like real-time gameplay. Not a fan of RPG's either.

Well then, I see you guys have never tried any of the newer expansions, or decided to use it for what it is. A videogame. Building houses in it is fun, messing with the neighbours is fun. Trapping the sims in the pool or little corner rooms with no doors until they die is fun. what? Going downtown and trashing the place is fun. Doing things that in the real world would get you arrested is fun.

I got DRIV3R last weekend and finally beat it today. MOST FRUSTARTING GAME EVER. Stuntman is very close to it in frustration too. Overall it's a good experience, and in free ride there are some Tommy Vercetti Clones with arm floaties, he can't swim Tanner can, and you have to kill 10 per city. Overall it's pretty good. Driving the 1970 styled Boss Mustang is great.

i play NBA Live 2003, NFS:U, NBA Street Vol. 2, and Soul Calibur II most of the time.

EDIT: And Brad, I've heard that the next Need For Speed game (not Underground 2) will feature a lot of different cars including exotics, tuners, and maybe even "old American Muscle" as they called it.

More confiremed GTA San Andrea info. Not rumors.
You have stamina meter, so you need food, and if you eat too much you can get fat. There are gyms.

You can get haircuts in the game

Cops act more like real cops do, and not ruthless bashing off the bat. They can even grab hold of you trun when you are driving.

You can do house robberies which require skill and planning

Ragdoll physics, aka "Impact Animation" similar to that seen in recent PC titles like Far Cry, Half Life 2 and Max Payne 2.

Swimming is now possible, however, the game is not about swimming, and drowning is still possible. If players take a car into the water, the stamina meter will again come into play, and will offer a limited time to escape the vehicle, through a window or otherwise.

Entire state of San Andreas included, meaning three cities will be present in the game, each connected by countryside. Los Santos, a fictional Los Angeles, San Fierro, a rendition of San Francisco, and La Venturra, which is the Grand Theft Auto version of Las Vegas.

Larger map, which is much more interesting and "alive" than Vice City. Hills have been confirmed, and even a mountain is to be included, which is tall enough to take up to ½ a minute to ascend in a helicopter.

Tweaked Vice City engine, which can support up to four times the draw distance in rural areas compared to the previous game. Real time reflections, on metal areas of cars, and real time mirrors will be included.

A great deal of effort has ensured that countryside areas look and feel organic, with rivers, forests, rolling fields and desert areas. The development team has also improved urban areas by rounding off what would previously be 'square', right-angled corners.

Smog will be present in Los Santos to give it a "real life" feeling.

In Las Venturra, set up a casino, or gamble in those owned by others.

Countryside areas feature unique vehicles which won't appear in the urban areas, such as a quad bike.

Improved transition between night and day, with a more immersive feeling included in each.

each pedestrian acting though they have a 'brain'. This also allows for stealth techniques to be employed by the player.

Control method improvements mean strafing is now possible

Improved control methods allow for new fist-fighting maneuvers, and the gun physics have been totally overhauled to provide a far more immersive experience.

Main character

barber shop

not sure if it's the real one or not.

Robbery

Restaurant

bike

Cop clingning to rear

the lighting effects from the headlights of cars will have a much greater effect in San Andreas. From the brightness of the pedestrians ahead, we can tell that new lighting effects will definitely be noticed.

Very Cool. I can't wait.

I rented Driver 3 last night. I like it quite a bit.

I figured it was time to start renting. I beat Red Dead Revolver in 8 hours, and I beat So Com in 2 days. Like throwing money out the window.

I might buy Driver 3, depends on how far I get.

For me, Myst is the most boring game ever created.

I'm playing Project Gotham Racing 2, Ninja Gaiden, and Soul Caliber 2...all XBOX.

Ohhh.... this is the first time I've looking at forums other than the 05 Mustang Forum. I am a gamer too! Right now I'm playing City of Heroes.... it's just a lot of fun being a super hero chick!

Some of my favorite games: GTA3, GTA Vice City, Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur II, Half Life, Black & White, Soul Reaver 1 and 2. And of course occasionally I get the urge to play Dr Mario on my old old Nintendo!

I'm really looking forward to HL2 and GTA San Andreas. I know I should be excited about Doom 3, but since I haven't been a PC gamer for terribly long, I haven't played either of the first 2 Doom games. My husband on the other hand... He not only got a lot of new computer parts for it (video card, sound card, motherboard, etc), he also got a new surround sound speaker system for his computer! I'm gonna need earplugs come tomorrow.

Nah go with Pac-Man. The original. Oh and by the way, I just bought R: Racing Evolution. It includes numerous cars including a GT 500 and a GT 500 KR... The normal 500 has a sweet paint job.

Just bought Doom 3 today. It actually works ok with my radeon 8500 vid card. But I would love to play it on a higher end card. It is pretty creepy, and I just started that game too. Very spooky with the shadows and stuff.

Just thought I would give a quick update. So far Doom 3 is pretty good. Much better than I expected. Sound is great and definitely creates a creepy atmosphere. Even machinery creeps you out! Its a very claustrophibic game. Areas are very small and dark. Makes you jump when the critters attack you from nowhere. It doesnt help that thing crawl along ceiling and rip through walls either... ACK!
