TV Question..

I have a 52 inch Mistubishi LCD HD tv and I'm getting green and red splotches all over the screen. I've already removed the back panel and cleaned the mirror and inside the screen but no improvement. Just thought I would see if anyone on the boards here has any knowledge or experience with this problem...
Thanks in advance

Really not all that bad, more annoying than anything. Only noticeable when a light colored background, like hockey, is on.

I would call tech support. Waiting could cause damage. Sounds like you have a nice TV why take the chance.

It is a "problem" called rainbowing, it is mentioned in the owners manual of LCD tv's.

Not everyones eyesight can detect them.

Crutchfield has an article on their website concerning it.

is your tuner or speakers close to yout tv? That will some times cause a problem. I was told to try turning your tv off for a 20 or 30 seconds or longer then back on. That may help.

I'm having a similar problem with my Samsung 42 inch plasma except that I have bluish-purple splotches on the left and top of the screen. I'm waiting on Samsung to schedule a technician to come out and take a look.
