Well, I see one problem with that video: She had her eyes closed when they sprayed her, then she opened her eyes a few seconds afterward. I doubt she got a really good eye full of the stuff, because if she did she would not be going anywhere.

I and the rest of my class took a good shot in the face with one eye open and let me tell you...not only does it suck like nothing else, you cannot open your eyes. Not even if you want to, your eye is shut. It's called involuntary eye closure, and it pretty much does what it says.

That being said, she is still a darn tough woman that I hope I never get into a brawl with.

 

Awesome! She can have some of me anytime. I gotta agree with Steve on the eyes thing. When I went thru our Academy we got sprayed with our eyes closed and that was bad enough. It still seeps into your eyes and burns like fire so I have to give her some big time credit to do all that afterwards.

 

I thought I head the instructor tell her to open her eyes after he sprayed her.

 

He did. You can open them for a split second but, the pain increases so you immediately close them again. I also thought I heard someone mention CS in the video. CS spray is not as bad as pepper spray so I wonder if it was really CS spray or maybe I was just hearing things.

 

Yeah, if that was CS then it would not be nearly as bad as OC spray.
