It was time for Tori's first oil change, so I thought I'd chronicle it. I was going to take her to the dealer for the first oil change, but I figured eh, why waste time and money. Real men do it themselves . Besides I want to know it is done RIGHT!

I went with castrol titanium 0w20, and Bosch d3233 for the filter. The rest was typical stuff... She only had 3k miles on her, but I like getting the first oil change done no later than that.

But anyways, here's some pics to chronicle everything. I went and did Marilyn's oil change right after too.

First i gathered the gear. Yes, beer is a must.







Then I jacked at the following points, then used stands.







Looks like the 2012s have Phillips screws for mounts. Removed 7 of these I think.











I don't remember what size the bolt was now... 14mm I think?







Out comes her life essence!








I had another beer while she drained....







I then used my favorite tool in the whole wide world. Strap wrench.... To remove the filter.







Then I used the best trick in the book. Ziplock Baggie trick on the filter for ZERO oil spill.








Yes, had more beer...







Lubed the Bosch filter for install.







Hand tightened to snug, then 1/2 turn more via strap wrench.



Replaced 14mm bolt with new crush washer.

Fill with 4.2 quarts.







Reset maintenance minder, and enjoy rest of beer!

Tadaaaaaaa. Then I went and changed the Marilyn's oil..
