How old are you vehicles tires ? worth the watch.

424 would be 42nd week of 1994, 4204 would be 42nd week of 2004

There is alot of stuff they are leaving out of thier investigative report - like the conditions in which the tire was stored, the conditions under which it was used. Manufacturing date alone will not accurately predict tire life.

Oh well, it will be interesting how this plays out in the long run. In any event it will utlimately drive the prices of tires up if consumer demand and/or government intervention creates a firm pull and destroy date for tires.

it was something that I never ever was aware so i'll be lookin for tire deals now ! btw mine were like new when the car was built so I think Ford was on the ball there !
