Had em done today......
Started off complicated- I have my own business so with all the itemized things and schedules ETC I have to have them done.

Start off owing $715 and finish up getting back $340 after H&R block work their magic. Tooo bad it cost me $318 to have them filed

Sounds like a wash. Better than oweing.

I am one of those dorks that has theirs done on Feb 1st. This was the first year of my photography business, but I still sent mine by Feb 5. I also try to minimize my refund. I would rather take my refund through out the year instead of giving Uncle Sam an interest free loan.

I'm married to a CPA so ours were done the first part of February. And I gotta agree with you about not giving Uncle Sam an intrest free loan. I have to pay interest, why don't they?

Well normally the plan is for my husband to over pay so I can take what I owe out of his refund. I made too much money last year and it backfired.

Fun Fact though: Those of you who bought 05 mustangs before 12/31 can take off your sales tax and tags for your taxes.....I got a $700 credit.

It is state dependent. Well, all states can take it, but in PA it was not benificial.

The sales tax including the pony was about $2900. But my state taxes came out to about $3300. So I went with claiming state tax instead of sales tax.

We get robbed in Pittsburgh. We pay state taxes. Then we pay local tax (1% in the suburbs and 3% in the city). Then we pay a Occupation Privilege tax. I guess people should feel privileged enough they have a job, they should pay some more tax.

I had mine done by February as well. Didn't buy a Mustang for '04, but got the sales tax deduction anyway.

I hope to get the '05 for '05 and get a better sales tax deduction.
